بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
-
قُلْ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَدٌ١
Qul huwa Allahu ahadun
Zeg: “Hij is Allah, de Enige (zo zou Allah de Enige moeten zijn in onze harten)."
-
ٱللَّهُ ٱلصَّمَدُ٢
Allahu alssamadu
Allah de Eeuwige, de Onafhankelijke (waarvan alles en iedereen afhankelijk is).
-
لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ٣
Lam yalid walam yooladu
Hij heeft niet verwerkt, noch is Hij verwekt.
-
وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُۥ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌۢ٤
Walam yakun lahu kufuwan ahadun
En er is niets of niemand die met Hem te vergelijken is, (in welk opzicht dan ook).”1
